Satellite Vu raises £12.7m Series A2 funding led by Molten Ventures to support commercial operations.

The round was led by Molten Ventures to fund commercialisation ahead of the company's first satellite launch.
Satellite Vu is a climate technology company that captures high-resolution thermal data from space to measure human activity and energy efficiency. Its space-enabled monitoring provides insight into economic activity and carbon footprints.
Satellite Vu has secured £12.7m in a Series A2 funding round led by Molten Ventures, with participation from existing backers including Seraphim Space Investment Trust, A/O Proptech, Lockheed Martin, Ridgeline Ventures, Earth Sciences Foundation, and Stellar Ventures. The fresh capital brings the company's total Venture Capital funding to £30.5m.
The proceeds will be used to support commercial operations, convert early access customers into revenue bookings following the upcoming satellite launch in June 2023, and build out organisational structures in preparation for a future Series B raise.
Investor perspective
"We’re leading SatelliteVu’s funding round as it prepares for its June launch. Their unique technology tackles key climate issues, and we’re impressed with their commercial progress. Their $160m in early commitments is a stellar model of pre-launch sales for deep-tech companies, which other climate-tech firms could emulate."
