SageTech Medical secures £2.5m to scale sustainable healthcare technology internationally

The funding round was backed by the British Business Bank via The FSE Group to support international expansion and team growth.

£2.5M

Devon-based medical technology enterprise that designs and builds patented apparatus for capturing and recycling waste anaesthetic gases from clinical settings.

Devon-based medical technology firm SageTech Medical has raised £2.5m in fresh capital to accelerate its growth across domestic and international markets. The latest injection of funds includes £1m in equity provided by the British Business Bank through its South West Investment Fund, administered by appointed fund manager The FSE Group.

SageTech has engineered a circular system designed to intercept and recycle volatile anaesthetic agents before they enter the atmosphere, simultaneously improving indoor air quality for medical professionals. The company will direct the new capital toward team expansion, operational reinforcement, and meeting rising demand from both veterinary groups and human healthcare providers across Europe.

From the founder

"We’ve developed a solution that not only helps healthcare providers reduce their environmental impact but, importantly, our innovative technology has the potential to significantly increase the safety of clinical staff by reducing work-based exposure to the vented gas. We’re delighted to be working with The FSE Group and the South West Investment Fund as we continue to scale the business from our Devon headquarters."
