Ski equipment brand Ruroc has raised £167k in a revenue loan facilitated by crowdfunding platform Crowd2Fund. The capital will be deployed to develop a new helmet range suitable for cycling and other action sports, alongside efforts to improve production efficiency and boost international exports.
The thirty-day campaign attracted substantial interest on the Crowd2Fund marketplace, exposing the brand to millions of potential backers. Ruroc currently generates over £1m in annual turnover and continues to post steady revenue growth.
Managing director Daniel Rees noted that the revenue loan structure suited the business given its seasonal profile, allowing for flexible repayments compared to traditional bank financing while avoiding equity dilution.
