Ruroc raises £3m from BGF to fund international expansion and product launches
BGF has provided £3m in funding to action sports brand Ruroc to support the launch of its new motorcycle helmet and international expansion.
Gloucestershire-headquartered Ruroc designs and manufactures high-specification protective gear and helmets for action sports.
Action sports protection brand Ruroc has secured a £3m investment from BGF to accelerate its international expansion and product development initiatives. The Gloucestershire-based company, which exports to over 80 countries, will direct the capital towards launching its new ATLAS motorcycle helmet, opening an office in China, and expanding its headcount.
The funding follows a period of rapid online growth for the brand, particularly in Asian markets following the Winter Olympics. Ruroc operates a direct-to-consumer model that bypasses traditional distribution channels, supporting its reach across global platforms and a substantial social media following.
BGF investors Alex Garfitt and Dan Tapson managed the transaction and will join the company's ongoing growth efforts. The capital provides Ruroc with the financial headroom to scale its operations while maintaining its focus on manufacturing and design.
