RoboK secures £1m from UK Research and Innovation to develop port and warehouse safety software.
The Cambridge spinout will use the grant to fund the PALLETS logistics project.
RoboK is a computer vision spinout from the University of Cambridge that upgrades standard industrial camera feeds into automated safety monitors.
RoboK has secured £1m from UK Research and Innovation to fund the development of its PALLETS logistics platform. The company will use the capital to deliver an artificial intelligence system aimed at improving safety and efficiency across ports and warehouses.
The project forms part of the wider PALLETS consortium, which brings together several industry partners including Freeport East and the Port of Dover. The initiative focuses on lowering barriers to artificial intelligence adoption in transport.
The work builds on RoboK's existing computer vision software, which processes visual data to detect workplace hazards and streamline operations. The current phase of the project runs until March 2025.
