Rivan secures $34m led by IQ Capital to build domestic synthetic gas supply
The funding will support the launch of a grid-connected commercial project and the construction of a new manufacturing site.

London-based Rivan manufactures synthetic natural gas using solar energy, captured carbon dioxide, and water.
London-based Rivan has secured $34m in a funding round led by IQ Capital. The investment brings the company's total funding to $46m.
Additional participants in the round include existing backer Plural, new investor Fundomo, and angel investors Thomas Wolf, Matt Clifford, and Markus Villig. The capital will support the launch of the UK's first grid-connected commercial synthetic natural gas project in partnership with Wales & West Utilities.
Funds will also be directed towards constructing a new 50,000-square-foot manufacturing site in London, building Europe's largest synthetic natural gas plant, and expanding the workforce beyond 100 employees.
