Rival Technologies secures £3.2m pre-seed funding from Speedinvest to expand its 3D content platform

Rival Technologies has secured £3.2m in a pre-seed funding round led by Speedinvest, with backing from New Renaissance Ventures and angel investors. The capital will be used to expand the team of engineers and scale operations in the United States. Founded in 2023, the London-based firm has emerged from stealth to launch its 3D content platform for Meta Quest headsets, which utilises proprietary AI to transform conventional 2D video into immersive spatial experiences.
The investment will support the company as it addresses the scarcity of immersive material currently hindering the mass adoption of spatial computing hardware. Alongside the platform rollout, Rival is offering early access to its conversion model, with compatibility for additional devices such as Apple Vision Pro and Pico scheduled for future release.
