Long Ridge Equity Partners provides a majority growth investment alongside the appointment of new chief executive officer Tom Obermaier.
Ripjar provides risk and threat intelligence solutions powered by automation, artificial intelligence and data visualisation. The company helps organisations and governments automate the detection, investigation and monitoring of threats.
Risk and threat intelligence provider Ripjar has secured a majority growth investment from existing backer Long Ridge Equity Partners. The transaction coincides with the appointment of industry veteran Tom Obermaier as the new chief executive officer, succeeding co-founders Jeremy Annis and Tom Griffin.
The capital injection will support the company as it scales its operations internationally and extends its product portfolio. Obermaier brings extensive financial sector experience to the business, having previously held senior risk management roles at institutions such as Citibank and Deutsche Bank.
Following the leadership transition, co-founder Jeremy Annis will continue to contribute to the company as a member of the board of directors. Ripjar continues to develop its compliance tools, including its RiskGPT platform, to assist clients in managing complex regulatory environments.
From the founder

I’m looking forward to enhancing the critical Ripjar value proposition by driving further technological innovation and expansion across new markets and regions"
