Revolut operates a digital banking platform providing checking and savings accounts, trading facilities, and international payments. The company serves millions of international customers through its mobile application.
Revolut is seeking to raise $1bn in a new funding round that would value the company at $65bn, a valuation it previously declined last year. Greenoaks is expected to lead the financing, which follows a period of rapid growth including a 72% increase in revenues to $4bn and a doubling of net profit to $1bn in 2024.
The capital chase comes after the neobank secured its long-awaited UK banking licence and expanded its product suite with offerings such as the Revolut X crypto platform. The firm now serves over 52 million users worldwide.
While the transaction may involve a mix of primary and secondary shares, market watchers continue to evaluate the firm's fundamentals against mounting competition and regulatory scrutiny.
