Revolut operates a digital banking platform providing checking and savings accounts, trading facilities, and international payments. The company serves millions of international customers through its mobile application.
Revolut has secured $3bn in a funding round that values the business at approximately $75bn. The transaction brings together fresh capital and a secondary share sale to provide liquidity for early investors and employees.
The business intends to deploy the proceeds into international expansion across 30 new markets and scale its user base toward 100 million customers. This follows a previous tender offer earlier in the year that valued the firm at $45bn.
Established in 2015, the digital bank currently supports around 65 million users worldwide. Its expansion strategy centres on securing local banking licences and pursuing targeted acquisitions to broaden its regulatory reach.
