The Series A round was led by MMC Ventures with participation from In-Q-Tel, White Star Capital, and Oxford Capital.
Red Sift provides an integrated cloud email security and brand protection platform that helps organisations defend against cyber threats.
Red Sift has closed a £7.1m Series A funding round led by MMC Ventures, with participation from new investor In-Q-Tel alongside existing backers White Star Capital and Oxford Capital. The capital will be deployed to accelerate the delivery of intelligent threat detection and support an expansion into the United States.
Founded in 2015, the London-based cybersecurity business has experienced rapid employee growth and increased adoption of its OnDMARC security product. The company has also made its newest offering, OnINBOX, publicly available to assist users in identifying sophisticated phishing attempts.
MMC Ventures led the transaction, supported by strategic investments from US-based In-Q-Tel. The funding arrives as Red Sift continues to develop accessible software-as-a-service solutions designed to lower the cost barrier of enterprise-grade cybersecurity.
From the founder
"We live in a world where users are told to simply accept that email has a fundamental security flaw and organisations transfer the onus of detection onto their busy employees. Meanwhile, it’s getting more difficult to identify these rogue messages as the targeting and sophistication of the attacks mature. This is exactly why Business Email Compromise (BEC) is a growing threat for all types of organisations."

Rahul Powar
CEO at Red Sift
Investor perspective
"There is no hiding in the fact that the use of email as an initial attack vector continues to dominate the way in which hackers are able to begin cyber-attacks. Red Sift’s easy-to-implement product suite offers businesses of all sizes the ability to protect against advanced email threats while also flagging to employees the potential threats from emails they receive."
