QiO Technologies builds artificial intelligence software that helps heavy industry and data centres lower their energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. The firm operates globally with roots in the United Kingdom.

QiO Technologies has closed an £8.3m Series B funding round led by WAVE Equity Partners. The capital will enable the firm to scale its footprint in the United States and Europe, advance its sustainability software suite, and speed up customer acquisition across energy-intensive sectors.

Heavy industries account for nearly a quarter of global greenhouse gas emissions and face mounting pressure to hit net zero targets. QiO applies artificial intelligence to operational data from industrial assets to optimise energy efficiency and automate environmental reporting.

The fresh funding arrives as industrial operators seek reliable tools to meet stringent international reporting standards and stave off climate regulatory scrutiny. WAVE Equity Partners joins the business to back its ongoing expansion in the clean technology market.
