PulpaTronics secures pre-seed funding to scale sustainable inventory tracking technology

The pre-seed round was backed by investors including the Royal College of Art Design and Innovation S/EIS Fund and Infinity Asset Management.

PulpaTronics develops sustainable and chipless radio frequency identification tags designed to replace single-use metal components in retail inventory tracking.

PulpaTronics has secured pre-seed funding to advance its sustainable radio frequency identification technology. The round was co-led by the Royal College of Art Design and Innovation S/EIS Fund and Infinity Asset Management, with participation from Sustainable Ventures, NextSTEP, Cranfield Seed Fund, molecules.vc, and several angel investors. The capital will be directed towards accelerating product development, initiating industry pilot programmes, and scaling operations.

The company creates recyclable, metal-free inventory tags that use laser-induced conductive circuits on paper. This approach aims to address the billions of tags discarded as electronic waste annually while integrating cleanly with existing paper recycling streams.
