The Series B round was led by Accel with participation from Partech, Salesforce Ventures, 24Haymarket and IQ Capital.
Privitar provides a leading data privacy platform that helps organisations protect sensitive information and meet regulatory standards. The company works with major financial institutions and healthcare providers to manage data securely at scale.
Privitar has secured £31.4m in a Series B funding round led by Accel, with participation from existing investors including Partech, Salesforce Ventures, 24Haymarket and IQ Capital. The capital will be directed towards accelerating the development of the company's privacy engineering products. Seth Pierrepont of Accel will join the board of directors following the transaction.
The raise comes amid heightened corporate and consumer focus on data protection, driven by regulatory shifts such as the GDPR in Europe and the CCPA in the United States. Privitar serves a client base that includes HSBC, NHS Digital and BT.
