PPAYA raises £1m in pre-seed funding to support platform growth and team expansion
The pre-seed round was backed by industry investors including Chris Rodgers, James Sutcliffe, Chris Walker, and Roy Foster.
PPAYA operates a continuous auction and management platform connecting commercial energy purchasers with renewable energy generators. The virtual marketplace aims to maximise power purchasing agreement prices and reduce administrative burdens.
PPAYA has secured nearly £1m in pre-seed funding from a group of industry investors including Chris Rodgers, James Sutcliffe, Chris Walker, and Roy Foster. The capital will enable the firm to expand its technology team and advance its bespoke software platform.
The platform is designed to streamline power purchasing agreements for commercial energy buyers and renewable generators. As the UK renewables sector moves towards a subsidy free model, the company aims to help asset owners optimise returns and navigate clean energy markets.
The fresh funds will also allow PPAYA to broaden its service offering for renewable funds and asset developers, helping them maximise portfolio value and support subsidy free site developments.
From the founder
"The energy industry is very reactive when it comes to executing PPAs and most people and companies do not have the tools or time to alert them to power price spikes."
