Portal Biotech has secured £25.5m in a Series A funding round co-led by the NATO Innovation Fund and Earlybird Venture Capital. The raise included participation from several new and existing backers, marking a significant investment in the life sciences tools sector.
The capital will be used to accelerate the firm's commercialisation roadmap, advance R&D, engineering, and data science teams, and expand partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotech developers. Portal Biotech's technology provides full-length single-molecule protein characterisation.
