Porotech raises £14.7m Series A funding from Ameba Capital to scale micro-LED production.
Ameba Capital led the Series A financing to support international expansion and volume manufacturing of micro-LED displays.
Porotech develops advanced gallium nitride semiconductor materials and micro-LED displays for global tech markets. The company emerged as a spin-out from the University of Cambridge to improve visual clarity and efficiency in compact screens.
Porotech has secured £14.7m in a Series A financing round led by Ameba Capital. The raise included participation from previous backer Speedinvest alongside an unnamed multinational electronics corporation. The fresh capital will be deployed to scale international operations and facilitate volume manufacturing of the firm's proprietary micro-LED components. This financial injection arrives as demand surges from major display manufacturers seeking robust solutions for next-generation screens.
