Poq raises £9.5m in Series B funding led by Smedvig Capital to fuel international expansion

Poq has secured £9.5m in a Series B funding round led by Smedvig Capital, with backing from Beringea and Revolt Ventures. The capital will support the company as it expands into the US market with new offices and accelerates its growth across the UK and Europe. Alongside the investment, the firm has appointed former Just Giving chairman Jonathan McKay as its new chairman.
The company operates an apps as a service platform designed to help retailers deploy and maintain mobile shopping applications more efficiently than traditional agency builds. This latest financing brings its total capital raised to £16.5m.
