PopTop has secured £615k in an equity funding round led jointly by Dow Schofield Watts Angels and Northstar Ventures, with participation from over 30 angel investors. The company will direct the capital towards sales and marketing efforts to support the launch of its real-time booking system.
Based in Newcastle, the profitable platform connects individuals planning weddings, parties and corporate functions with local suppliers such as caterers and entertainers. Founded in Kiev in 2014 before relocating to the UK, the business currently employs close to 20 people across its offices.
