Pontiro has secured £357.5k in a funding round led by SFC Capital, with participation from Plug and Play Ventures and the British Business Bank. The capital will be used to support expansion into NHS England trusts and to progress towards inclusion on national procurement frameworks.
The healthtech firm has built its platform inside the National Health Service, processing more than 2 million medical images across NHS Wales through automated tools for secure anonymisation and AI validation. Following the raise, the company plans to scale its operations beyond Wales to assist hospital trusts across the country.
From the founder
"Pontiro was built inside the NHS, alongside the teams who use it every day. That matters. With this investment, we’re taking infrastructure that already works at scale in Wales and making it available to trusts across the country who are navigating the same challenges."
Lewis Bowen
Chief Executive Officer at Pontiro
