Polystream raises £9.1m in Series A funding led by Intel Capital
Intel Capital led the Series A round with backing from Lauder Partners and Wargaming Group to support recruitment and product development.
Polystream is a deep tech business to business startup that enables demanding interactive three dimensional applications to be streamed from the visual cloud.
Polystream has secured £9.1m in a Series A funding round led by Intel Capital, with additional participation from Lauder Partners and Wargaming Group, alongside previous backers Initial Capital and London Venture Partners. The fresh capital will be deployed to recruit top talent globally, scale marketing operations, and accelerate the technological development of the company platform.
The investment was announced at the Intel Capital Global Summit in Guildford. The Guildford based deep tech startup focuses on solving the scalability challenges of cloud streaming for high fidelity applications.

The current approach of deploying GPUs in the cloud to deliver compressed video, whether for playing games or any other high-fidelity application, is eye-wateringly expensive and just does not scale. It’s why cloud gaming remains the hardest of streaming problems to solve; anyone can stream games, but the business of streaming is broken."
