The inclusive fintech firm completed its latest raise through a mix of venture backing and a crowdfunding campaign.
Pockit operates a financial super app providing digital accounts and money management tools aimed at low income and underserved communities. The platform offers current accounts, international transfers, credit building utilities and budgeting features.
Inclusive fintech firm Pockit has secured £15m in a Series B funding round. The raise incorporates a Crowdcube campaign alongside backing from the UK government scheme known as the Future Fund. The capital arrives as the company transitions its operations to Railsbank and manages rising demand for remote financial services during the pandemic.
The business intends to deploy the fresh capital to support its next stage of growth and provide services for financially excluded demographics in the UK. Pockit has accumulated £27m in total funding since inception and counts half a million users on its platform.
