Plum Fintech raises £1.7m in a Series C crowdfunding round on Crowdcube
The smart money app secured the initial funding target within eight hours from over 3700 participants.
Plum Fintech operates a smart money application designed to automate personal finance tasks, including saving, spending management, and investing. The firm has expanded its presence to ten European markets alongside its established UK base.
Plum Fintech has secured £1.7m in a Series C follow-on crowdfunding round hosted on Crowdcube. The campaign quickly surpassed its initial target, drawing participation from over 3700 investors across multiple European nationalities.
The fresh capital arrives alongside recent financing from Silicon Valley Bank UK, as well as backing from established partners including dmg ventures, VentureFriends, and Global Brain. The funds will support the company as it continues to scale across European markets and refine its platform.
Throughout the year, the smart money app has expanded its feature set to include commission-free investing, a debit card, and cryptocurrency trading. These product updates have helped push its customer base past 1.4 million users while building on a total of £1.4bn set aside by savers.
