London-based PlaySafe ID has secured £840k in a pre-seed funding round to expand its player safety platform and scale its user base. The investment was led by Early Game Ventures, with participation from Hartmann Capital and Overwolf.

The fresh capital will be directed towards accelerating platform integrations, growing the team, and driving a major go-to-market push as the firm targets over 250,000 users. PlaySafe ID issues anonymised digital identities to combat cheating and toxicity in multiplayer gaming environments.

The company is currently in integration discussions with several prominent gaming platforms ahead of upcoming partnerships.
