PlasRecycle has secured £3.8m through Envestors to expand its plastic recycling operations. The company operates the UK's first facility for recycling plastic shopping bags and films, converting mixed plastics into clean granulate to replace virgin materials.

The capital will support the management team's plans to increase production capacity and achieve economies of scale at its London site. Previous backers of the business include Foresight, Ironbridge Capital, and the Mayor of London's Waste & Recycling Board.
