Investing Women Angels backed the pre-seed round to support product development and market entry.
Petscribers operates a digital price comparison platform for animal medication sourced from government-approved pharmacies. The company aims to make veterinary care more accessible and transparent for owners.
Petscribers has secured £290k in a pre-seed funding round that closed twenty percent above its original target. The investment was backed by the all-female syndicate Investing Women Angels, marking the group's twenty-eighth portfolio addition.
The capital will support the ongoing development and go-to-market strategy for the company's fully integrated e-prescribing platform. The startup has developed a search engine designed to help owners compare medication prices across government-approved pharmacies.
Alongside the funding, the business welcomed Anne Doyle and Chris Elliot as new board observers. The company was founded by qualified veterinary surgeons Dr Angela Jones and Dr Emma Pemberthy.
