Perwyn becomes majority shareholder in Miss Group as BGF exits its investment
Private equity investor Perwyn has secured a majority stake in web hosting firm Miss Group following an exit by BGF.
Miss Group is an international web hosting provider offering domain registration, virtual private servers, and related digital services. The firm operates a customer-focused model serving more than 200,000 clients across multiple markets.
Private equity firm Perwyn has acquired a majority stake in Miss Group, providing fresh backing as BGF exits its investment in the web hosting provider. BGF initially backed the business in 2018 with £6.4m, followed by a subsequent £13m injection in 2019 to support international expansion.
Led by chief executive Mattias Kaneteg, Miss Group has expanded rapidly across Scandinavia, Spain and the US, completing seven acquisitions during BGF's tenure. The company has seen its revenue climb from £8m to £25m, while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation rose from £2.5m to £11m.
With Perwyn now stepping in as the majority shareholder, Miss Group plans to continue executing its targeted acquisition strategy and marketing its proposition to SME customers abroad.
