A medical technology company developing advanced digital tools and artificial intelligence software to improve the diagnosis of metabolic diseases, cancer, and inflammatory conditions. Its technology enhances standard magnetic resonance imaging machines to provide quantitative assessments of organ health as non-invasive alternatives to biopsies.

Perspectum has secured $36m in the first close of its Series C funding round, led by Oppenheimer Holdings, with participation from British Patient Capital. The capital brings the company's total funding to $120m.

The Oxford-based medtech firm will direct the new capital towards scaling its operations in the United States and accelerating its product pipeline for oncology and multiorgan inflammatory conditions. Founded in 2012, the company creates digital technologies that enhance standard MRI scans to measure organ inflammation with greater precision.

The funding announcement follows a recent collaboration with Nuance Communications to distribute its quantitative magnetic resonance software across American healthcare facilities.
