Patients Know Best secures strategic investment from DNV to fund international growth
The funding from foundation-owned DNV will support single patient record functionality and global expansion.
Patients Know Best operates a personal health record platform that consolidates medical data from diverse providers into a single patient record. The company supplies digital health infrastructure to national health services and international clients.
Patients Know Best has secured strategic backing from independent assurance provider DNV to support its next phase of growth. The funding will enable the company to scale its single patient record functionality, target new verticals, and accelerate international expansion.
The investment follows a selection process that paired the social enterprise with a foundation-owned organisation. As part of the arrangement, DNV segment director Stephen McAdam will join the company board.
Established in 2008, the platform is used extensively across the NHS and has recently expanded into overseas territories including Lagos, the Netherlands, and Germany.
From the founder
"We are thrilled to welcome DNV as a true partner. This is a strategic alignment with a Foundation that believes in our mission and with which we share great synergies. DNV’s global reach, well-connected network, and ethical alignment with our status as a social enterprise are exactly what we were looking for in a partner. I’m also extremely grateful to the team at FirstCapital, led by Co-Founder and Chairman Hazel Moore, for advising us on this transaction – their support has been invaluable."
