Papillon Translations secures £50k debt finance from NEL Fund Managers to expand marketing.
The Newcastle-based translation service raised the funds from NEL Fund Managers to drive marketing activity for its new visitor app.
Papillon Translations provides human translation services and has developed an app to deliver multilingual audio and written commentary for museums and tourist attractions.
Papillon Translations has secured £50k in debt finance from NEL Fund Managers. The capital will be directed towards increasing marketing efforts and bringing the company's new visitor app to the wider market.
The Newcastle-based translation provider has spent over four years developing the application, which allows visitors to access multilingual commentaries via QR codes or scanned images. The funding follows initial deployments at locations including the James Herriot Museum and Bedern Hall.
NEL Fund Managers provided the capital through the North East Small Loan Fund. The transaction was supported by Craig Horsfall of Haines Watts Chartered Accountants.
