Paloma Health raises £2m pre-seed funding from Triple Point Ventures and Heal Capital to tackle National Health Service autism wait times.

The pre-seed round was led by Triple Point Ventures to roll out autism assessment services.
Paloma Health is a healthtech startup that uses artificial intelligence to reduce waiting times for essential National Health Service services. The company partners with clinicians to streamline care pathways for children and young people.
Paloma Health has secured £2m in pre-seed funding to expand its National Health Service autism assessment services for children and young people. The round was led by Triple Point Ventures, with participation from Heal Capital, Pam Garside, and James Allgrove. The capital will enable the company to deploy its diagnostic service, which aims to cut waiting times to under four weeks, and develop further clinical software tools.
The startup operates through the National Health Service Right to Choose scheme, providing no-cost care that is fully accepted by local authorities. By redesigning traditional care pathways with clinical experts, the company seeks to alleviate pressure on healthcare resources and subsequently expand into additional medical conditions.
From the founder
"The current waiting times for autism assessments are very disappointing, with most families facing years of uncertainty. Our expert clinicians and engineers have redesigned the care pathway to offer families timely access to high-quality NHS care. This funding allows us to change the lives of many families, and support the NHS to tackle waiting lists."

Investor perspective
"The speed and diligence with which Paloma Health has moved would be incredibly impressive within any sector, no less healthcare. From concept to operational service in 6 months, Paloma Health is a great example in how entrepreneurs can help address problems facing healthcare systems. Right to Choose provides a once-in-a-generation opportunity to build a new tech-enabled healthcare provider from the ground up, creating the foundations for applications far beyond the NHS and UK."
