Oyster operates a global employment platform that helps companies hire, pay, and manage distributed teams across more than 180 countries.
Oyster has secured $59m in Series D funding led by Silver Lake Waterman, valuing the company at $1.2bn. Existing backers including Emergence Capital, Stripes, Georgian, G2 Venture Partners, and Endeavor Catalyst also participated in the round. The latest injection brings the total capital raised by the company to $286m.
The freshly secured funds will be deployed to accelerate product roadmaps, scale operational impact, strengthen compliance measures, and bolster customer capabilities in attracting and retaining talent. Founded in 2019, the firm provides cross-border payroll, benefits, and HR tools designed to simplify international hiring.
The company has introduced several new service offerings over the past year, including global payroll integration, visa sponsorship assistance, salary insights, and an embedded no-code solution for cross-border rewards.
