Oxford Nanopore Technologies has secured £195m in a Series H+ private transaction. The capital injection comprises £125m from new investors including Temasek, Wellington Management, M&G Investments, and Nikon, alongside £70m from existing shareholders.
The funding adds to the company's financial backing as it continues its previously announced strategic plans. M&G Investments contributed £35m of the total through its Catalyst team, which targets privately owned enterprises addressing sustainability.
Institutional participation in the round highlights the role of long-term savings funds in supporting enterprises with broader societal benefits. The company operates from Oxford, providing sequencing technology used globally in biomedical research and public health.
