Oxford Endovascular has secured £8m in a Series A+ funding round led by Parkwalk Advisors to advance its brain aneurysm treatment towards human trials. The company develops the OXIFLOW flow-diverter stent, which uses origami-inspired design principles to improve precision during procedures.
Parkwalk Advisors contributed £4.2m to the round. Additional participants included Norcliffe Capital, Oxford Science Enterprises, Vulpes Investment Management, and the University of Oxford.
The capital will support the company as it prepares for First-In-Human clinical trials and expands its operations. The technology addresses a significant clinical need for a condition affecting a large portion of the population.
