Oxbotica raises £10m in a Series B follow-on round from Ocado Group
The investment coincides with a commercial partnership to integrate autonomous vehicle software into warehouse and delivery operations.
Oxbotica develops customisable autonomous vehicle software designed to operate across multiple industrial domains. The firm enables diverse vehicles of any size to navigate independently.
Oxbotica has secured £10m in a Series B follow-on funding round from Ocado Group. The investment accompanies a commercial partnership aimed at integrating autonomous vehicle software into various transport platforms, ranging from warehouse operations to last-mile deliveries.
The capital will support the ongoing development of the company's autonomy platform, which utilises advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies. Ocado will also take a seat on the company board as part of the transaction.
The latest financing builds upon a working relationship between the two firms that began with a trial delivery in London in 2017. Oxbotica intends to advance its universal autonomy solutions through this expanded collaboration.
