Cambridge diagnostics company Owlstone Medical has secured a grant of up to $49.1m from the US Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health. The funding will support the development of at-home multi-cancer early detection tests through the POSEIDON programme, aiming to identify more than 30 solid tumours at stage one using breath and urine samples. Partners on the initiative include the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Boston University.
