Osler Diagnostics is an Oxford spinout that has developed a portable tabletop device for rapid blood testing outside of traditional laboratories. The firm employs over 100 people across engineering, science, and manufacturing disciplines.
Osler Diagnostics has secured $85m in a Series C funding round led by M&G Investments, with continued support from existing backers Oxford Science Enterprises, Braavos Investment Advisers, and Lansdowne Partners. The company will direct the capital towards regulatory approval and commercial deployment of its flagship Osler Origin diagnostic device.
The Oxford spinout was established in 2017 to commercialize portable electrochemical sensing technology. Its lead product, the Osler Origin, is designed to perform laboratory-grade blood tests rapidly from a small sample using an intuitive touchscreen interface.
The fresh injection of capital follows years of research originating in University of Oxford laboratories. With a multidisciplinary workforce exceeding 100 employees, the company aims to position its platform for global deployment across various healthcare environments.
