The investment will support Orka's plans to develop its recruitment platform for flexible workers.
Orka Technology Group provides technology solutions for shift workers and employers, streamlining recruitment, onboarding and wage access. Headquartered in Manchester, the company serves major clients in sectors such as facilities management.
Orka Technology Group has secured £3m in Series A funding from venture capital firm Praetura Ventures. The Manchester-based company will direct the capital towards accelerating product development, growing its API integration programme, and expanding into new markets such as the mechanical and electrical sectors. Additional funds will support automation efforts through data science and machine learning to reduce manual tasks for workers and employers.
Praetura Ventures led the round, which follows a period of rapid growth for Orka as demand for flexible shift work increases. The company currently counts over 60,000 users and partners with major security and facilities management firms including G4S, ISS and Wilson James. This transaction adds Orka to Praetura's portfolio of regional technology businesses.
