OrganOx raises £25m in a growth round led by Lauxera Capital Partners to scale commercial operations.
The Oxford-based medical technology company secured backing from Lauxera Capital Partners to expand its US footprint and advance research pipelines.
OrganOx is a medical technology company that develops automated normothermic machine perfusion devices for liver transplantation. Its flagship product, metra, preserves donor livers and allows surgeons to assess function prior to transplant.
OrganOx has secured £25m in a growth round led by Lauxera Capital Partners, with participation from existing backers. The capital will be deployed to scale the commercial presence of the business, particularly by expanding customer-facing operations in the US market.
Additional funds will be directed towards new infrastructure in the UK and US to accelerate research and development pipelines targeting adjacent markets in organ transplantation. The company has seen rapid adoption of its metra device across Europe, the US and Australia, with more than 2,500 successful liver transplants supported to date.
