Oxford-based biotech company ONI has secured $75m in a Series B funding round co-led by ARCH Venture Partners and Casdin Capital. The financing also saw participation from Section 32, ARTIS Ventures, Vertical Venture Partners, Axon Ventures, Paul Conley, and existing backer Oxford Science Enterprises.
The capital will be directed towards expanding commercial and research and development teams in the US and Asia, alongside scaling up the firm portfolio of consumables and cloud software. The company aims to broaden adoption of its desktop microscope technology for advanced biomedical research and cell therapy applications.
Keith Crandell and Shaun Rodriguez have joined the board of directors as part of the transaction.
