The company secured backing from institutional investors and family offices across Europe with plans to expand the round to EUR 25m.
Omnio operates a cloud-based core banking software delivering a modular end-to-end solution via a platform-as-a-service model. The company holds strong market leadership across the UK, Ireland, the DACH region, and Italy.
Omnio has secured EUR 15m in the first close of a private placement by issuing shares at EUR 650 each. The funding was backed by institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals across Europe, with a particular concentration in the Nordic region. The company intends to expand the total fundraising effort to EUR 25m in January 2020. Proceeds from the financing will be directed towards expanding the sales team, strengthening compliance and risk management, enhancing the digital platform, bolstering working capital, and funding a pending acquisition.
