The Series A round was led by IQ Capital with backing from Cambridge Enterprise and Silicon Valley investors.
Nyobolt develops end-to-end fast-charging battery systems designed to eliminate lengthy charge times across various industries. The company commercialises high-performance energy storage technologies to support global decarbonisation efforts.
Nyobolt has secured £7.5m in Series A funding to scale its operations and accelerate global expansion. The investment round was led by IQ Capital, with participation from Cambridge Enterprise and Silicon Valley investors.
The company emerged from years of academic research at the University of Cambridge, building on discoveries by Professor Clare Grey and Dr. Sai Shivareddy. The newly secured capital will fund international growth, facility construction, and engineering team expansion as the business commercialises its battery technology.
The funding follows previous support from Cambridge Enterprise, which assisted the founders from initial patent applications through to seed funding. Nyobolt operates across the UK, US, and Asia, focusing on high power applications that require rapid charging capabilities.
