Nutshell Software raises £1.2m Series A from Mercia to develop product and expand team
The funding round was led by Mercia and will support product development and team expansion.
Nutshell Software provides a platform that allows businesses to build functional mobile applications without coding. The Newcastle based firm counts major public and private sector organisations among its users.
Newcastle technology company Nutshell Software has raised £1.2m in Series A funding from Mercia, via the Northern Venture Capital Trust Funds and the North East Venture Fund. The capital will be used to further develop the company's product and expand its team.
Launched in 2017 by serial entrepreneur Martyn Cuthbert, the firm enables businesses to create mobile applications without requiring coding expertise. Its customer base includes Network Rail, Siemens, Northumbria Police and the NHS, and the company plans to create around 40 new jobs over the next three years.
