Bristol-based startup developing cheaper and quicker air source heat pump technology for residential properties.

Nusku has raised nearly £1m in fresh capital to develop its low-cost domestic heat pump technology. The funding package includes a grant exceeding £727k awarded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.

The latest injection follows a previous £245k pre-seed round backed by several prominent figures in the renewable energy sector, including the founders of Midsummer Energy, MyEnergi, and Union Technical.

Established in 2022 by former Dyson engineer Russell Murchie alongside Matthew Whitefoot and Andy Mckay, the Bristol startup aims to introduce a heating system that installs more quickly and features a more appealing aesthetic than current market alternatives.
