Nuclera secures £57m Series C funding led by Elevage Medical Technologies to scale commercial operations

The Series C financing was led by Elevage Medical Technologies with backing from Patient Square Capital and other investors.
Nuclera is a biotechnology company that accelerates drug discovery through its benchtop eProtein Discovery system. The firm provides rapid, easy access to functional proteins to streamline laboratory workflows.
Nuclera has secured £57m in a Series C financing round led by Elevage Medical Technologies. The raise also saw participation from Patient Square Capital, British Patient Capital, Cambridge Innovation Capital, and several other backers, including Jonathan Milner and M&G Catalyst.
The capital will be deployed to drive the commercial expansion of the company's eProtein Discovery benchtop platform, particularly across markets in the United States and Europe. The system aims to simplify protein expression and purification for researchers by automating workflows and reducing processing times.
Elevage Medical Technologies led the transaction alongside backer Patient Square Capital. The funding follows growing adoption of the platform among academic institutions and commercial research organisations.
