The Cambridge biotechnology company has raised £31.4m from investors including M&G and Amadeus Capital Partners to advance its desktop protein printer.
Nuclera builds benchtop protein systems designed to accelerate expression and purification workflows in research laboratories. The biotechnology enterprise operates out of bases in Cambridge and Boston.
Biotech firm Nuclera has secured £31.4m in the first close of its Series B financing round. The investment was backed by a syndicate of new and existing institutional partners, led by M&G alongside Amadeus Capital Partners, E Ink, RT Partners, Future Planet Capital, British Business Bank Future Fund, and G. K. Goh.
The proceeds from the raise will be directed towards accelerating the commercialisation and development of the company's eProtein desktop bioprinter. The funding will also support the expansion of the platform towards an all-encompassing proteomics instrument designed to unify protein expression and characterisation.
