UK ocean intelligence startup NeuWave Technologies has secured £550k in pre-seed funding from backers including EHE Ventures, Insurtech Gateway, and QVentures. The capital will support product development, commercial rollout, and key technical hires as the company seeks to address inaccurate wave forecasts in the offshore sector.
The funding follows the development of NeuWave's AI forecasting engine, which aims to improve marine weather accuracy and reduce costly operational delays for offshore operators. The company already works with major sector players including EDF, National Grid, Celtic Sea Power, and Catapult Offshore Renewable Energy.
Global investment in offshore infrastructure continues to accelerate alongside pressure to meet net-zero targets. NeuWave positions its platform as a critical data layer to support a more efficient and resilient offshore economy.
