Netacea secures £4m Series A follow on investment from Mercia and NPIF to advance AI capabilities

Manchester-based cybersecurity specialist Netacea has secured £4m in a Series A follow on investment from Mercia Asset Management and the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund. The capital will be deployed to accelerate product development and expand the company artificial intelligence capabilities.
Established in 2022, Netacea focuses on mitigating automated threats and online fraud through its fifth-generation AI-driven platform. The firm employs around 60 staff and serves a client base that includes major global brands and online retailers.
Backers Mercia and NPIF participated via regional equity funds and direct investment. The funding follows a period of revenue growth for the company, which continues to scale its operations amid rising demand for digital threat intelligence.
