Moniepoint has secured over $200m in a Series C funding round to support its expansion across Africa and Europe. The investment was led by Development Partners International through its African Development Partners III fund, with participation from Google's Africa Investment Fund, Visa, LeapFrog Investments, and the International Finance Corporation.
The company provides a digital platform that combines payments, banking, credit, and business management tools for small and medium-sized enterprises. It processes over $250bn annually and serves more than 10 million active customers.
Additional backing came from Lightrock, Alder Tree Investments, Proparco, Swedfund, Verod Capital Management, QED Investors, Novastar Ventures, FMO, British International Investment, Global Ventures, Endeavor Catalyst, and the New Voices Fund. The capital will support the company's broader international scaling, including the rollout of MonieWorld.
