Moneybaba has secured investment from Duet Private Equity and EMEA Capital as part of a wider institutional funding round. The online lender will use the capital to strengthen its balance sheet and launch operations in new countries, particularly in Africa.
The fintech operates exclusively online, offering real-time loans and point of sale financing for small merchants using proprietary behavioral algorithms. The company already operates in South America under the TuTasa brand.
Chief Executive Marcelo Barreneche noted that the partnership brings strong emerging markets expertise to support the firm's global expansion goals.
